AFC Independence Day Celebrations
India gained its freedom from British Empire on 15th August 1947. Hence this day is very important for the people of India. The independence movement in India was carried on by the freedom fighters, These freedom gighters had to undergo a hard and severe struggle. This day remind us of struggle of the freedom fighters who sacrifice their lives for their country.
Children of modern era barely remembers the faces of freedom fighters, hence to give them an idea as to how our freedom fighters looked, AFC organized an colorful event, wherein kids became freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Laxmi Bai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad etc. It was one of its kind of event held in Dharavi.
